About The Rig Directory
Our History
Founded in 2022, The Rig Directory was created with a simple but powerful vision: to bring together sound systems from across the UK on one easy-to-use platform. Our aim is to help promoters, event organisers, venues and communities quickly find the right sound system for any event, while giving rig owners greater visibility within the industry.
More than just a directory, we're passionate about supporting sound system culture and encouraging charitable giving. Every listing helps raise awareness of a registered charity chosen by the sound system, giving back to worthwhile causes while celebrating the people behind the UK's incredible rigs.
Since our launch, we've had the privilege of working alongside some of the UK's biggest, most respected and most iconic sound systems, and we're proud to continue supporting and showcasing the community for years to come.
The Concept
Every sound system listed on The Rig Directory receives its own dedicated profile page, professionally managed by our team and updated whenever required. Each listing is designed to showcase your rig at its best and can include photographs, a description of your services, areas covered, social media links, website details, pricing (if you wish), and any other information you'd like potential customers to see.
As part of your listing, you'll also have the opportunity to support a registered charity that's important to you. Your chosen charity will be featured on your profile page, together with a secure donation link that directs visitors straight to the charity's official website, making it easy for others to show their support.
To join The Rig Directory, we simply ask for a one-off minimum donation of £5 made directly to your chosen registered charity. We don't receive any part of this donation. Once we've received your application and proof of your donation, your listing will be created and ready to share.
The Rig Directory makes it easy for promoters, event organisers, venues and the public to discover sound systems across the UK, compare services, view photos and find all the essential contact information in one convenient place.

By bringing sound systems together in one dedicated directory, we make it easier for promoters, event organisers, venues and the public to discover quality rigs, connect with their owners and explore the services they offer. At the same time, every listing helps shine a spotlight on a registered charity chosen by the sound system, encouraging voluntary donations directly to causes that matter to them.
We've set a minimum donation of just £5 to join the directory because we believe supporting charity should be affordable and accessible to everyone. This donation is made directly to the applicant's chosen registered charity, and we never receive any part of it. While additional donations are entirely optional, every contribution—large or small—can make a meaningful difference when we support charities together.
